burn iso image in windows 7

After loading up Windows 7, I opted to forgo installing any cd/dvd burning software simply because I didn't think I needed it. I download lots of images from microsoft and such for testing and production updates, but never considered how I would continue to burn images to DVD's.

Just the other day I asked a colleague: "can you rip me a copy of this" and he replied with "no way, do it yourself". I wondered, is it possible without my trusty Nero that i had become reliant on over the past few years? It turns out that it is, and DVD, CD burning has never been easier. Here is how if you dont already know...

  1. Navigate to the directory where you store your ISO (disk images)
  2. double click on your image with the left mouse button (in blue)
  3. verify your selection, optionally you can select "verify disk after burning" if necessary.
  4. click on burn!
  5. it is that easy
  6. goodbye nero!
