Microsoft may have finally got it right. All I have to do is go to their site and download Microsoft Security Essentials and install the application and it just works. That’s of course after I get the satisfaction of completely ripping off my existing AV solution. Security Essentials has a lower application footprint than any Symantec product on the market, consumes less system resources, and manages pattern file updates and system scans all by itself.
